Materials and Financials Lead Off-Exchange Shift Toward OTC

Materials & Chemicals saw the sharpest migration toward OTC venues during the week of November 6, with the ATS share of stored off-exchange volume falling to 39.4%. This represents a 505 basis-point drop from the 44.5% mix recorded over the prior four-week baseline.
Financial sectors followed a similar trajectory. Banking ATS mix declined by 449 basis points to 36.0%, while Financial Services dropped 444 basis points to reach a 28.5% share.
Real Estate and Hardware & Devices both experienced shifts exceeding 300 basis points. Real Estate ATS share settled at 43.1%, and Hardware & Devices fell to 16.1%.
Semiconductors rounded out the trend with a 294 basis-point decline. The industry ended the week with ATS accounting for 26.6% of stored off-exchange volume.
