EchoStar and BlackSky Lead Surge in Short Crowding
Delayed FINRA settlement data shows a sharp increase in short interest relative to real float for several issuers.

EchoStar CORP (SATS) reached a short crowding level of 51318.25% as of the June 15, 2026, FINRA settlement date. This positioning represents a 529.25 percentage point increase over the prior settlement period.
BlackSky Technology Inc. (BKSY) also saw a significant rise in crowding, ending the period at 24482.63%. The jump of 1200.67 percentage points marks one of the most aggressive expansions in short interest relative to float among the tracked issuers.
DevvStream Corp. (DEVS) experienced the largest delta in the group, with crowding climbing 2561.87 percentage points to reach 5476.12%. This trend of expanding short positions extended to SPRUCE BIOSCIENCES, INC. (SPRB) and Red Rock Resorts, Inc. (RRR), which saw crowding rise to 2873.16% and 2214.83% respectively.
Other issuers showed more moderate shifts. BATTALION OIL CORP (BATL) rose to 1727.66%, while MOBIX LABS, INC (MOBX) climbed to 919.47%.
Conversely, some issuers saw a reduction in crowding. CLOVER HEALTH INVESTMENTS, CORP. /DE (CLOV) dropped 125.00 percentage points to end at 829.39%, and Armata Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARMP) declined 14.44 percentage points to 1199.33%.
