About MarketBrain
MarketBrain is Meridian Indices' newsroom for the U.S. domestic equity market — same-day coverage of earnings, deals, and industry trends, grounded in primary SEC filings and generated by Meridian's own systems.
The universe
Coverage starts from Meridian's own registry of U.S. domestic operating companies — currently 4,086 issuers — built and maintained in-house from SEC filings rather than licensed from an outside data vendor. Every covered company is assigned to one of five market-cap size tiers, the same tiers that anchor the Meridian size-index family.
What gets covered
Earnings and deal coverage runs at full breadth across the small and mid tiers, and across a ranked top slice of the micro tier. Every company that qualifies gets its own article and a standing company page; a curated front page highlights the pieces of the day judged most significant. New pieces publish continuously through the trading day, alongside a weekly slate of thematic columns.
Editorial review
MarketBrain coverage is subject to an editorial review layer backed by a governance panel, and review findings are recorded in an internal audit trail. See How MarketBrain Is Made for the detail, including a few illustrative entries from that audit trail.
