Construction Partners to Acquire Ellsworth Construction
The acquisition expands the civil infrastructure company's footprint in Oklahoma's fastest-growing metropolitan areas.
Construction Partners, Inc. (ROAD) agreed to acquire Ellsworth Construction, LLC. The company did not disclose the financial terms or the structure of the transaction.
Construction Partners intends to use the acquisition to scale its operations in Oklahoma. The deal provides experienced crews and strategically located facilities to serve the Tulsa and Oklahoma City markets, which are the two fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the state.
"We are pleased to welcome the entire Ellsworth team to the CPI family of companies," said Fred J. (Jule) Smith, III, President and Chief Executive Officer of Construction Partners. "This transaction expands our presence in Oklahoma by providing us with experienced crews and strategically located facilities from which to serve the Tulsa and Oklahoma City markets, the two fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the state".
The move follows a pattern of regional expansion for Construction Partners across the Sunbelt. The company previously entered the Oklahoma market in January 2025 through the acquisition of Overland Corporation, which added eight hot-mix asphalt plants serving Oklahoma and northern Texas. Other recent activity includes the August 2025 acquisition of Durwood Greene Construction Co. and G&S Asphalt, Inc. in the Houston metro area, as well as expansions in Alabama and Georgia.
